Sandhill Cranes at the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge.
These birds stand 2.5 feet to 4 feet tall, with a wingspan of 5.5 feet to 7.5 feet! These are very large birds. In the refuge itself, one can spot Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles, Red-Tailed Hawks (chicken hawks), Kestrels, owls and many other raptors.
