Location
I took this photo while visiting an old, Gothic-Renaissance castle from Romania. The castle's name in Romanian is "Castelul Corvinilor" or "Corvin Castle" in English, the construction of the castle began in 1446. The very old table and the rest of the ancient objects were exposed in a room of the castle.Time
This was taken on September 9, 2013 at 10:14 AM.Lighting
The exhibits were near a window so the light was falling right onto the table, onto the old bowls and spoons. I remember being a cloudy day, so the light was soft making the textures very pronounced.Equipment
This was taken with a Canon PowerShot A550, no other equipment was used.Inspiration
I really liked the texture of the old objects, it instantly made me feel like I was transported back in time. I wanted to capture that feeling of imagining yourself living in ancient times.Editing
I've chosen to make the photo black and white and tried to make it look like a very old picture. In my camera bag
I currently use a Nikon D40 with an Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G lens and an Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G lens.Feedback
Try capturing objects from different angles and always imagine a story about your subject.
