Behind The Lens

Location

I'm a self taught photographer and new to lighting so it's just my little popup studio in my small apartment in Vancouver b.c Canada.

Time

My apartment has a lot of window so I waited untill the sun went down so my house was super dark and I had all the controls over the lighting.

Lighting

I'm feel like I'm still a beginner with lighting but the thing that always tell myself it's ok to make mistakes, They help you learn and always push your self to try new thing and experiment because that's how I get the picture I love.

Equipment

I used my Nikon d810 with a Nikon lens 24 70mm. Set up on a tripod with a trigger release. lighting up the picture with only one constant light. For the back ground was a popup background in black.

Inspiration

I have obsession with flowers and when I seen this headband I fell in love. The first thing that came to mind was dark and mysterious but simply.

Editing

I didn't really do much just cropped it to the size I liked and I have bad skin issue so I clean up my blemishes.

In my camera bag

It depends on what I'm going to go do but I alway keep my Nikon d810 with my lens 70 200mm and 24 70 mm. My tripod and extras as card are my most important.

Feedback

My advice is when you think you have the shot keep going and try new thing because I find that when you get somethings you really like.
