Great shot. I lived in Toronto for 2 years back in the mid-70's. I loved it there. Love this photo.

It was getting close to autumn so there was a dimming of light. In the summer it can be intense. Also the mix of cloud was enough to cut the glare. The sun was almost at zenith so no glare or shadow. Toronto has a lot of glass that reflects the light and this can be an advantage or disadvantage.Equipment
I was just starting photography so at the time all I had was a Canon sure shotInspiration
I always loved the Toronto skyline. I do not get over to the Toronto Islands often, and that is a great spot to get in the downtown skyline. I was at the western end of the islands at a spot called Hanlans Point and this gives a person the closest spot to take in the skylineEditing

Now I have a Sony 600. Also I have a 200 m power lens, a 210 m adjustable lens, a circular polarizer, filter and a tripodFeedback
Toronto has a great mixture of weather. We have very hot, humid summers and icy damp winters that are mainly overcast. Also the weather can change drastically in any given day. Anytime I go out I will see things I want to take pictures of and will make note of that. It is a matter of waiting for proper weather conditions and light. So patience is required. There are times you can take the picture right then, or a matter of waiting days or months. Given the time of year I will go to the places I have made note of. The above picture was taken in late summer, but if you go again in winter it has an entirely different look. Also I find using a filter helps a great deal as the light in summer can be intense.
