Location
This Tiger Photograph was taken at the Denver Zoo.Time
I spent the day at the Denver Zoo 09/05/15, 10am.Lighting
I liked the tan wall as a backdrop and the a nice vignette to draw your eye into the tiger.Equipment
I was shooting with my back up camera. Canon T-3 with a 70-300mm lens, handheld.Inspiration
The morning sun as the tiger strolled around caught my eye, along with the tiger standing and not in a laying down pose.Editing
I use Capture One Pro, with some contrast and saturation to high light and emphasis tiger's the colors. then applied a vignette to draw you eyes to the tiger's face.In my camera bag
I like to try to be prepared for the shoot on hand as much as possible. I carry Canon 5 DSR, 24-105mm, 70-200mm, Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT.Feedback
I believe that planning ahead for a Zoo trip is paramount. Call ahead to discover the most active times for the animals you wish to photograph. The mornings before the heat and crowds show up at the best and few times a year there may be special events that are focused around photography. Do you homework and Always, Always have fun.
