Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken just down the road from my parent's home in rural North Central Nebraska..aka The Sandhills.Time
It was just before sunset.Lighting
Lighting at Sunset is perfection. I just simply saw what I thought would be a terrific shot. It was literally a spur of the moment shot as I was out driving around on dirt roads. Something magical & relaxing about driving dirt roads in the country. It clears your head & quiets the soul. Images like this one just pop up when your mind is clear and focused on the beauty surrounding you.Equipment
I use a Canon Rebel XS with a 18-55mm. No flash. No tripod.Inspiration
The lighting from the Sun about to set and the serenity & peace of driving country roads in the evening. Enjoying God's Creation.Editing
I may have done a little minor tweeking of the photo but this was one of my lucky shots that I didn't have to do much except cropping. Once in a while I get one of those. In my camera bag
In my bag is my Canon Rebel XS with a 18-55mm lens & a 75-300mm zoom lens. I also have a micro lens & cleaning kit. A tripod & my batteries & charger.Feedback
Lighting is important. Sunrise and sunset (and just before & just after) you have terrific & pure lighting to take photos. That is my favorite times for taking photos. Also, I see something & go with my gut in an instant. I can be pretty spontaneous with my vision. Plus, have an appreciation & love for God's Creation. If you see it through His Eyes, you will enjoy what you're doing and catch that shot that is just magical to you and inspires others.
