Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at my office backyard in Surabaya, there are many mango trees and this invasive Weaver ants on it

Time

This was taken on October 01, 2014 at 8:16 AM just before my working time started

Lighting

It was 100% sun light from my back

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon D3100, with an 18-55mm lens and DIY Close Up filter attached, it was built from two front binocular lens

Inspiration

I have been watched the Weaver ants beaten other ants for several times, so i look around for its process how they beat their prey, i just luck to see and capture the moment.

Editing

just minor image enhancement, like contrast, highlight, and clarity

In my camera bag

I actually have only my camera (Nikon D7000 for now), Nikkor 50mm f/1,8 manual lens and 18-55mm f/3,5 - 5,6 packed up in my bag, i bring other accessories (filters, flash and tripod) conditionally.

Feedback

You have to kill many times to capture around your home or specific place, set your best setting - and fast of course - on your gear, the hardest part is to be patient
