Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the Blue Ridge Mountains it is of Mabry Mill.

Time

The photo was taken in mid afternoon.

Lighting

It was mid afternoon when the photo was take so i used a polarized filter.

Equipment

The picture was taken with a Canon T3I, canon shutter release, polarized filter, on a Vanguard tri-pod, with Canon 24-105mm F4.0 L IS lens.

Inspiration

Always wanted to take a picture of this mill, and catch the reflection of the mill off the pond.

Editing

It is a HDR photo 3 total pictures -1, 0, +1. The picture was processed in Photoshop with Nik software.

In my camera bag

T3i, 7D Mark II, canon 24-105mm, canon 70-200mm 2.8, canon 100mm 2.8, canon 10-22mm, and a sigma 150-500mm, with a canon 580EXII flash is always in my bag.

Feedback

Make sure your tri-pod is anchored down so the post post processing goes smooth. Use live view to focus and zoom in to get it the focusing perfect. Shoot with manual focus and IS turned off. Use a shutter release so the camera doesn't move when you take the picture.
