This was a daylight shot with a few clouds in the area which I always think adds something to photograph of this type.Equipment
This was a hand held shot using a Canon EOS 40D camera with a Canon 28mm - 135mm zoom lens, no flash. Lens was set at 28mm ~ f/16 ~ 1/640 sec. ~ ISO - 200.Inspiration
I have always thought that Lighthouse's make interesting photo due to their history and uniqueness. I shoot them whenever I can. I have shot several up the Oregon Coast.Editing
This particular photograph was shot in color and I converted it to Black & White in Photoshop. In my camera bag
I usually carry two camera, I now carry a Canon EOS 7D and a Canon EOS 7D MK II. I carry a variety of filters, a tripod, Several lenses all Canon, a 100 - 400 zoom, 60MM Macro, 28 - 135mm zoom, 18 - 55mm zoom & a 50mm Prime lens. Although I very seldom use a flash I also carry a Canon Speedlight 430 EX.Feedback
The thing I work on the most is composition and framing the photo properly. I think that makes or breaks a photograph.
