Location
It was during a photo-tour in Carpathian Mountains - Romania.Time
It was 14:00 in cold, rainy day of October.Lighting
There was no flash involved, the eerie light is made by the moisture in the atmosphere.Equipment
I used a D7000 and a 10-24mm DX Nikon lens.Inspiration
I was in a photo-tour to capture the colours of autumn. It was a pretty miserable day: rainy and foggy. I was pretty disappointed with the weather but I've decided to go out shooting. The rain stopped for some moments so I entered the woods and start shooting. The autumn coloured leaves and the mist inspired me to take this shot. I wanted to capture the essence of autumn: colours and weather in one shot.Editing
I shoot only RAW. The post processing is done in Capture NX2.In my camera bag
I use a Nikon D600 and a D7000 as a backup camera. I shoot manly 14-24mm Nikkor as well as 50mm and 105mm.Feedback
As a general advice I would say to go shooting even in bad weather. The results can be pretty rewarding.
