Location
The photo was taken in Santorini Oia in Greece.Time
It was during sunset, when the sun is approaching the horizon.Lighting
I wanted to catch the time when lights are started in the city but the sun is not yet completely set.Equipment
This was shot using a NIKON D600 with a lens of 105mm/ƒ/4 exposure time 1/125s and ISO 2000.Inspiration
I was inspired by many pictures about this amazing location. I think the place it has one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. There are swarms of tourists who gather everyday in order to catch the sunset.Editing
I am always shooting raw and I use for post processing Lightroom and Google Nick Collection. I try to keep it simple and enhance the low light areas, bringing the details from the shadows, keeping also in mind not to blow the highlights. In my camera bag
I am carrying a D750 and a D600 as a backup camera. I usually have a wide and a telephoto lens with me so I can cover all the situations. My favourite lens is 14-24mm f2.8 from Nikon and 105mm f2.8 Nikon. I also use a BeFree Manfrotto tripod which is small and portable for cases when I do long-exposures.Feedback
For landscape photography the time of day is most important. Dusk and dawn are best times of the day when to take a picture. The shadows are long and light is forgiving. In order to have a good spot especially in crowded areas such as Santorini or other tourist attractions, you should arrive early and do a little scouting before, prepare the shot and have in mind what works best for you and what frame you should take. Good light and remember to enjoy and have fun! Sabin
