Location
The photo was shot this year 2023 in the Blue Mountains New South Wales, in the Katoomba National Park. In fact the falls pictured are "The Katoomba Falls". My wife and I visited the area in April / May, and saw the Blue Mountains themselves, and of course all aspects of the region. I am a retired Broadcast TV Cameraman / Video Editor, and reckon I have a keen eye for detail?? Therefore, in our retirement and travelling ventures, I now carry around my trusty 20MP Samsung Digital Mobile Phone, and FULL HD Video Camcorder, to capture our memorable times away from home. My wife gets frustrated, as she tells me," Look at life with your eyes, not through the damn lens all the time!!" But later she will reflect and say," I'm glad you got that photo of that waterfall, or cliff face, or particular animal??"Time
It was around late morning, perhaps 11.30 - 1.00pm in that time frame??Lighting
Just that the falls had a wonderful light source of the sun coming through the jungle above, and reflects in the photo I hope??Equipment
Samsung S10 20MP digital mobile phone with Pro setting and stabilization activated, as I don't have a tripod with me most times??Inspiration
They are "The Katoomba Falls", and I wanted to capture them for our memories.Editing
Yes, I use various programs and software, to enable to crop, and align properly, and in some cases enhance where needed. In my camera bag
My phone as mentioned, and my Sony HDR HD Video Camcorder, that's about it, and maybe a couple of spare batteries??Feedback
I'm shooting myself in the foot here, but with todays modern digital mobile phones, you really can not do too bad a job?? The cameras these days, do a lot of the work for you, you simply need to compose the shot, to the best advantage, and ensure the shot is steady and clear.
