Location
I took this shot in April of 2019 on a visit to Petra, Jordan. The image shows the "Treasury" and was taken from a high vantage that required me to climb up a trail to be able to get this shot. Not for anyone that has vertigo as the trail is rocky and narrow and only wide enough for one person at a time.Time
The shot was taken in late afternoon toward the end of my visit to Petra. In fact, if you looked in the opposite direction you could see the moon rising over the canyon walls.Lighting
The late afternoon light with the high canyon walls made for a softer light with more shadows.Equipment
The phot was taken with a handheld Sony A7R II and a Sigma 24-105mm lens at 24mm, f/9, ISO400 at 1/60 sec.Inspiration
The view from being above was so breathtaking that it begged to be photographed. It's such an impressive sight.Editing
Only basic processing was performed in Adobe Lightroom Classic 8.3.1In my camera bag
The Sony A7R II and Sigma 24-105 is my standard kit when I travel because it offers me the most versatility.Feedback
Don't be afraid to go on the less travelled paths as you never know what spectacular sight will await you around the next bend!
