Location
This is Laguna del Inca, Chile it is located at the border of Chile and Argentina at an altitude of 2853m (9354ft) above sea level. My partner and I took a private day tour from Santiago. I had looked it up before we went to Chile, looked like a great place to visit, it was all and more than I had expected.Time
I took this photo on the 16th of September 2019 around 11:30am. It was a beautiful sunny, cold day. This view was breathtaking.Lighting
This was a once in a lifetime trip, the day was prefect, the sky was clear, the sun shinning on the snow, what else could you ask for!Equipment
I used a Nikon D7000, Tamaron SP 24-70mm SP F 2.8. Aperture F7.1, ISO 100 Shutter Speed 1/320. This was a hand held shot.Inspiration
The beauty of the lake, to capture that momentEditing
I process my NEF files through Lightroom. I only used the dehaze button on this image. In my camera bag
Nikon D7000, Tamaron 24-70mm F2.8 and Sigma 10-20 mm F4-5.6 lens cloth and a small packet of silica gelFeedback
I look up the places we are going to visit well before hand so that I am familiar with what we might see. In Chile the weather changes regularly, be prepared to be patient, be prepared to get some shots that you might not be totally happy with but are still great reminders of that particular day.
