The photo was taken while I was walking on the pathway from sources of Adda River toward the lakes on the mountains around Livigno village in ItalyTime
I took this image at late afternoon, 5 PM, to get a more warm lightLighting
The sky was partially cloudy, which is perfect, in my opinion, to take landscape photography. In addition I wait a bit late in the afternoon to get a more warm lightEquipment
I used the Canon EOS 7D Mark II, the lens was EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM and tripodInspiration
I love mountains, I love walking on mountain pathway, so everything inspire me and particularly the lakes, like thisEditing
I like a lot the silk effect on water. In this occasion was not possible to get such effect since my big stopper filter was broken, so I tried to take the same effect in post processing phase. In my camera bag
Normally I use the Canon EOS 7D Mark II, wide angle zoom EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM, tele lens zoom EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM, a macro lens EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, a Gitzo tripod with ball head, Flash Canon 580 EX II and various filtersFeedback
The main suggestion I would have is to get the warm light, at sunrise or late afternoon, a bit cloudy sky and to use filter like big stopper, of course with tripod, for long exposure.
