Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my home & work studio in Delhi, India.

Time

It was crazy to shoot this photo as it was terribly hot weather and I made the model wear a winter overcoat for the shoot!

Lighting

I wanted to subtly focus on the overcoat and it’s texture without making it shout out! Used a single light!

Equipment

This was shot with a Nikon D850 body and a Nikon 70-200 f2.8 lens and a Godox sk400 strobe

Inspiration

I wanted to play with light n shade to present apparel in a more interesting and appealing way!

Editing

No post processing was done on this photo

In my camera bag

I keep two bodies: Nikon D850 and D500. My go to lenses are Nikon 50mm f1.8 prime and Nikon 70-200 f2.8. For birding & wildlife I keep a Nikon 200-400 f4 lens with 1.4x teleconverter

Feedback

You don’t need fancy lighting to get a good portraiture! If you can capture the mood you have visualised for the shoot then your job is done!
