Hi There, I took this in Whitby. I had to climb up the wall and my husband past me my camera.Time
It would have been about June and it would have been late in the evening.Lighting
Not really only that I couldn't use a tripod so had to go down to the longest shutter speed that I could hold without getting camera shake. I pushed the iso a little too.Equipment
I used a Nikon D3 and D500.Inspiration
I had seen other peoples images of Whitby but was happy to capture the sunset with it.Editing
Yes just a little bit of photoshop. The highlight slider and a little touch on the saturation slider. In my camera bag
It depends what I'm shooting. I usually have 2 Nikon bodies. If it's travel I have a 50mm 1.4, a 28- 70mm and my 50-150 on the D500. Portraits I would take a 105mm 2.8 and 85mm 1.4 Samyang lens. A reflector is the cheapest and most effective tool to deal with light.Feedback
Just be prepared. Plan where you need to be and get someone to go with you if it's a lonely place. I probably shouldn't have been climbing up walls but I could not have took this alone, as I needed someone to pass me my camera gear.
