Location
This photo was taken in the living room of my house. I moved a few pieces of furniture, placed a television on the floor and the rest was magic that I did thanks to the Photoshop app.Time
It was 9 pm, I was leaving work after having been studying all morning. The truth is that I was very tired but this idea came to my mind on my way to home and I couldn't let it pass, as soon as I got home I took the picture.Lighting
The lighting of this photo comes absolutely from the television screen. I put a white image on a pen drive and opened it on the television so that it illuminated me. The idea was to create a dramatic image in which the source of light was only the television screen. Simple!Equipment
My usual camera a Canon 700D. The lens I used was a 35mm 2.0f fixed lens. I needed a lens luminous enough to capture an image in which the light was so poor since there is only one source of light.Inspiration
I study audiovisual communication and that day in the theory of communication class we had given the Theory of the Hypodermic Needle. The truth is that this theory struck me a lot, the theory talks about as the media and its communicators use a series of arguments or slogans to capture our inner being and thus "manipulate" us in a simpler way usually with emotive arguments, is used a lot in TV media. This inspired me to take the picture.Editing
Yes! In photoshop I distorted the television screen with the finger tool and a brush that I made. Then I made a series of masks and distorted my face and joined it with the television. Once I had my face linked to the television I added green, blue and red colors or the more well-known as RGB and I also distorted them to create that GLITCH effect. With those bases everything else was patience and drawing in photoshop. Finally I added a series of parameters to give that color tone that has the photograph, a mysterious and cyberpunk tone, playing with curves. In my camera bag
Normally in my backpack I have 3 lenses, a 18-135mm 3.5f-5.0f canon, a 50mm 1.8f and a 35mm 2.0f. I also carry a small led torch in case I need extra lighting, color filters and batteries, a lot of batteries.Feedback
In this type of photo manipulated photography I would say that the best advice is to soak up information, see a lot, read a lot and think a lot. This will increase our mental "library" and in this way we can create many great things. Of course, learning to use photoshop in a deeper way helps a lot ;) Think of the magicians, always surrounded by books and studying to perform their spells ... Photoshop is a wand and you need to learn how to use it.
