This photo is taken at Biri Travbane which is a harnsess racetrack in Biri, Gjøvik in Norway! A fellow stablemate where i have my horse was hosting a competition for Icelandic Horses and i was there to work with selling pizza, but she knew me well and i was allowed to skip and photograph most of the timeTime
I can`t quite remember exactly the time, but i remember the competition started pretty early so i am thinking it was before 11am.Lighting
All natural lighting! This was a pretty cloudy and boring light day to be honest, not only that it was spring and the snow was melting and no grass or anything to spice up the competition photos. But i think a handful of them came out great anyways!Equipment
I used my Sony Alpha 58 with an 70-300mm Tamron lenseInspiration
All the beautiful horses that day! And also the chance to practice my competition photography skillsEditing
Some after work in LIghtroom so I could spice up the photo a little so it didn`t look quite so dullIn my camera bag
I always have my old and still amazingly trust worthy Sony A58 camera with a Tamron Lense and two smaller kit lenses. I try to also remember to take with my my gorilla stand, but my forgetfulness mostly wins thereFeedback
Don`t be afraid to approach competitions when they are hosted and bring your camera! Sometimes the host only wants a few photographers so it could be smart to send a mail and ask if you can come, but that are mostly if you take photos to get paid.
