Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at my old house in South Africa. My mum's pegs somehow aligned themselves in the perfect lineage position, I couldn't resist taking a shot of them!

Time

I used to live next to a conservation area so I always loved being outside! Every morning and every dusk I would run outside to catch a glimpse of buck grazing but that day there were none. I walked around the yard taking close ups of everything to pass time! Including PEGS!

Lighting

My backyard always welcomed a warm winter sunset over the sun-drying clothes. The sunset approaching dusk comes with a warm apricot lightning, but I was growing tiresome of the apricot colour themed pictures I had and threw over a monochrome filter, the result speaks for itself!

Equipment

Nothing but my Huawei P8 Lite phone camera!

Inspiration

The way the wind blew the slightly loose ill-shaped pegs down the washing line into a sort of orchestrated perfection!

Editing

Picture was taken with a monochrome filter.

In my camera bag

My phone!

Feedback

It's always about the angle, light and focus! I'm not a professional photographer, but a good shot comes from objects that are never perfectly positioned, best photos come from objects that are off centered! Imperfection is what makes a photo perfect.
