I took this photo of Jeffery at my home in the verandah.Time
I had gotten up in the morning, ready to go on a morning walk over Cannock Chase to see what wildlife I could capture. But, it was raining heavily so I decided to stay home and photograph my dogs instead in the afternoon about 2pm.Lighting
I just used the natural lighting coming through the verandah windows to get the image I wanted.Equipment
I took this photo with my Nikon D3400 with the 18-55mm lens, I didn’t use a tripod I just handheld my camera because, it is easier to follow the movements of the dogs.Inspiration
I had just joined a dog photography group page on Facebook and I wanted to take some new photos to post on the page.Editing
I didn’t do any processing to this image. In my camera bag
My camera bag always has my Nikon d3400 camera with the 18-55mm Nikon lens and the sigma 150-600mm lens, I always have this larger lens in my bag incase of any wildlife I spot but it might be far away. Other equipment that I have in my bag is spare battery’s and my cleaning kit for my lenses and camera.Feedback
Advice I would give would to get use to capturing animals that move a lot so, you get use to following the subject with your camera. Also I would use a toy or a treat to get your pets attention for example, Jeffery is obsessed with tennis balls therefore I usually hold a tennis ball in the air behind the camera to get the shot I want.
