Behind The Lens

Location

Torres del Paine National Park. Patagonia Chile

Time

April 24, 2017 ~ 0930 hours Local Time

Lighting

Very early at sight and very clouded. Waited for the clouds to clear which they did - sun did not show.

Equipment

Nikon D500 and Tamron 18-400 Manfrotto Tripod with Manfrotto Ballhead No Flash used.

Inspiration

Scouted this location a day earlier and hoping for good weather the next day. The sun never came out, however, the clouds and reflection did add to the overall image.

Editing

Minimal post processing. Added contrast to make the image stand out.

Nikon D500 / Nikon D7100 Tamron 150-600 / Tamron 18-400 / Tokina 11-16 Manfrotto Tripod with Manfrotton Ballhead and Manfrotto Gimbal Remote release Lenses are equipped with UV and CPL Filters

Feedback

Always have the necessary clothing and protective gear (rain/snow). Go out no matter what the weather - you never know what opportunity will be presented with. Extra batteries always come in handy.
