Behind The Lens

Location

Back road to Las Vegas, I think it was on Amboy Road and eventually turns into Hwy 66 in California.

Time

Lighting

I wanted to get the car and the church like structure in the back. Fortunately the sun was up high lighted everything up. I twas very ot taking this picture also.

Equipment

Nikon D5100 with a regular 18-35mm lens and tripod.

Inspiration

It was cool looking when I say it, while driving. It really captured my imagination, the great and unique way whoever put the work into making it look like a turtle. I actually turned around to go back and take a picture of it.

Editing

I believe this was a focus stacked photo, One for the car and one for the building in the back, then merged them. Also removed the power pole and lines from the picture.

In my camera bag

Zoom lens, Flash and some filters,

Feedback

I use the tripod more and more. One my hands aren't always as steady and also be able to focus stack to get a sharper picture.
