Great photo. You can't help but feel uplifted when you see these flowers. Don't think I've seen them this pink before.

Never forget to take a camera with you wherever you go, my favorite "take everywhere" camera is my Canon Powershot N that fits in my shirt pocket. I took this picture at the local grocery stores florist shop, there were a number of different bouquets everywhere, but the colour of pink got my attention, so i had to take a shot.Time
I got this around 3:00 on a nice sunny day under an overhanging roof, so i didn't have to fight with the direct sun on the flowers that can at times want to blow out the colours too far. This seemed to come out with just the right amount of light keeping the entire shot very nicely lit.Lighting
It did take me a few attempts to get the flowers into the best position leaving something in the background that still looked interesting. You always have to be careful when flowers are wrapped in plastic as the light can shine too hard in some areas, so you have to keep checking the composition with the light in mind.Equipment
For my carry everywhere camera i use a Canon Powershot N, it fits in a shirt pocket, and has a swing up screen, as opposed to the sideways swing that also tilts up. Canon doesn't make them anymore, but they are brilliant, full feature little cameras, 12 MP with HD video. Whenever we go grocery shopping, we have to go past the florist shop, so there are always bright distraction to turn your head, so getting a nice shot is always easy.Editing
I didn't need to do much post on this picture, just a bit of minor touch up without taking away every little detail to keep the shot looking fresh without that over worked plastic look, a bit of dodge and burn and it came out looking pretty good if i say so myself. In my camera bag
My normal kit is a Canon 7D mII and a Canon 6D, with a Canon 100-400mm L II, a Canon 24-105mm, a Canon 2x extender and just for some fun a Oshiro 8mm fish-eye lens. The 100-400 L II is a simply brilliant lens that focuses down to 30 inches, so you can get some amazing shots with it. The 8mm gives some very nice results for a "cheap" lens, but can be a serious challenge to focus if you're closer than shooting landscapes set to infinity, but, you can get some nice results. The only thing that is a problem with this kit is the weight, its a challenge on your shoulder until you get used to it, but I'll never change anything.Feedback
Keep trying different angles, remember, memory cards hold lots of shots. Always keep moving the bouquet around until you get the light that gives the best results for the colour you're working with, great lighting for a pink isn't necessarily going to be as good for blue or yellow, so keep moving things around. Remember, red can be our enemy sometimes, so keep away from too much direct light, it can look seriously blown out with the saturation having a mind of its own. And always remember, don't always take your shots from the same height and angle, squat down, you'll be amazed how different things can look from a new angle.
