Magnifique photo!
Very well done, I strait away recognized the mont blanc because of the glacier du bosson! I love the mood of this photo with this dramatic weather! Well done again!

This photo was taken in Chamonix, France, opposite of the Mont Blanc. Weatherconditions changed quite fast when we got there and weatherforecast was not good so instead of going up the Mont Blanc I decided to go up the Col de BréventTime

I did not plan on these weather conditions, I actually just wanted to go up Mont Blanc, but forecast made me change plans. Coming from a sunny Annecy earlier that day now storm clouds came rolling in which gave this incredible mountain a dark and gloomy appearance. I happen to like that atmosphere. Dark, heavy clouds with the sun peering through from time to time. Alas. now I still have never been on top of the Mont Blanc (and Europe for that matter)Equipment

Mountains. As always. You can drop me in the mountains and you'll never see me again :-) Especially with gloomy, preferable furious light conditions. Never the same view twice, the authenticity and pure 'earthness' of it all, what is not inspiring about that !!Editing
In ACR of course. Highlighs and shadows, color-adjustmenst, retouched the occasional sensor-dust-spot. In Photoshop some more color-adjustments, levels, sharpening and crop. That's about it.In my camera bag
As mentioned above. I like to keep it simple.Feedback
I was able to shoot this image because I wandered of a bit. Just walk a bit further then you were planning on to walk into nice spots to take your photograph. Th advantage is that there will be far less people watching you take on the weirdest poses to just get around an annoying twig that's in the way to get your shot ....
