In the heart of finnish Lapland, in the Kuusamo area, something like a dream that came true following a trail in the forest after some mile driven on a unpaved road. It was extremely dark and only by our headlights we could see some indication (with the sign of a bear?) and when the woods were near to finish we saw a bridge crossing a stream... and it was very great to daydream in front of a very beautiful (and simple) landscape!!!Time
This was a bit before the sunrise, starting the walk in the full dark.Lighting
The hope was taking some tone of green in the sky, but northern lights didn't come and the view was breathtaking also in blu and under a million stars sky!Equipment
This is a long exposure shot, tripod is a basilar item in these pictures; my Canon 6d and the 15-30 lens did the rest!Inspiration
I read and saw some pic online about this mill and I felt immediately in love for it so it became a must do in that trip: I got it!Editing
This is one single shot, I only used LightRoom for adjust a little of Lights and Shadows / Dark and Brights, the lucky was to take a good shot in camera! In my camera bag
My Canon 6d camera with the 15-30 / 24-70 and 70-200 lenses, my kit of (G)ND filters, the remote controller, a good tripod and a collection of batteries (expecially when it's cold).Feedback
There is a bridge crossing this stream, if you are more than 2 or 3 you have to be motionless because the bridge can swing moving your shots; if you want to explorate the area pay attention to the water: it's fast and cold! Take with you the right dressing, in the finnish winter it can be very cold and windy... take care if it's the first time you face up to the real northern winter!!!
