I came across this tree while out "photography road tripping" as I like to call it. I was leaving the Lower Lewis Falls area and this tree was just off the road a bit, a glowing beacon in a small opening between all the pines with the soft defused light hitting it. I had to stop and photograph it. It was the only deciduous tree in the area and stood out with its pale yellow green leaves against all the dark green moss and pine trees.Time
This was in late early afternoon, and the day was super rainy and wet. Made for great colors in the forest.Lighting
I didn't have to do any lighting, it was provided naturally with the sun, diffused through the rain clouds in the opening above the tree in the canopy.Equipment
Nikon D600, 17-35mm SigmaInspiration
Just can not pass up a glowing tree in the woods!!Editing
I lifted the shadows a tiny bit in post because it was a rainy overcast day. But the rainy day brought out all the colors vividly without any processing. In my camera bag
Trusty tripod, Nikon D600 and a few lens for different perspectives.Feedback
