Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in the Kruger-Nationalpark in South Africa in 2015 when I was 14 years old. We were driving to our next camp and stopped by a water hole and about 10 elephants were climbing down this hill to reach the water. It was a wonderful moment and we were very lucky that we could watch them.

Time

It was around 5pm and it was very sad that we had to go before they were gone but the gates of our camp were closing at 6pm and we still had to drive about 40km till we were there.

Lighting

The lightning was just the warm and strong african sun in the golden hour of the day coming fromthe right and emblazes and brings out the dust.

Equipment

Iused my first camera ever which I still use when I can not bring my reflex camera because it is to big. It is a digital one from casio called EX-ZR10. It is very small and easy to handle but still makes great photos with very beautiful Colors and I would defenitly recommend it.

Inspiration

I can not say anything more than just the magical moment that was happening in front of me.

Editing

Not really. I was just a young girl observing those majestic creatures and pushed the flash point. I would say Iwas at the right time at the right place.

In my camera bag

Now I am still only 16 and not as equipped as a professional. I own just one Nikkor 18-200 mm objektiv and a Nikon D5300.
