Location
I took this photo at Windsor, Ontario river side.Time
It was hot cast summer day around 3 PM as I was walking the river during weekend when I spotted that floating pier and without thinking or planning I just head back to my car and pulled my gear (my gear is always with me wherever I go) and took that shot after trying different angles.Lighting
It was cast day and the lighting was soft and great as a huge softbox and I wanted the shot to be dreamy like to reflect the kind of weather.Equipment
I shot it with Canon 5D Mark III with my trusty 24-105mm f4.5 lens, tripod and firecrest 16 stops ND filter to extend the shutter speed to get the smoth water.Inspiration
Minimalistic photography in black and white Is something is always I wanted to be good at and translate what I dream or think of and put into photography. Joel Tjintjelaat is a master of fine art black and white.Editing
I used the luminosity masks technique to post process this photo and blend them together. In my camera bag
First thing is The Camera of course the Canon 5D mark III with my 24-105mm f4.5 lens, 70-200mm f2.8 IS Lens, 16 stops firecrest ND filter and my vanguard tripod.Feedback
Take to your time planning the shot until your brain and eyes are trained to spot things around, look at others photographers work for inspirational and don’t give up and keep trying until you get the wanted results.
