Behind The Lens

Location

This stunning photo was taken in one of my favourite places in the south of England. The New forest situated in Dorset

Time

i was driving through the new forest as the sun was rising and I Had to stop ! I have never seen sun rays burn through the mist like this before. A photo I am very proud of.

Lighting

Positioning my tripod so the tree blocked the sun gave me the best results of light rays I have ever achieved

Equipment

This image was shot using my canon 6d on my manfrotto tripod

Inspiration

I was on my way to a campsite for a weekend of adventuring with my camera and this photo set me up for one of the most successful weekends I've had. The best photos are the unplanned ones that take you by surprise

Editing

I edited the Raw file in Lightroom with minor tweaks to shadows highlights and contrast o

In my camera bag

In my bag i always have my 35mm 135mm 14mm and 400mm lenses with me so I am more than ready for any surprises that pop up

Feedback

Go out early morning and find a location that you want to shoot. Be patient whilst the sun rises and position yourself so the sun itself is blocked by a tree (or object) you are shooting. If it's misty that's a added bonus
