Behind The Lens

Location

This portrait of a bison was taken in the Northern part of the Yellowstone National Park in January 2017. Temperature was around 40°C.....

Time

This is a morning shot, when the herd was digging in the snow for food.

Lighting

Morning light before the sun hit hard allowed for good exposure of a dark subject against white snow.

Equipment

Canon 7D Mark II + Canon EF100-400mm v2. Handheld.

Inspiration

Tight portraits of wildlife with expressive eyes are my favorite subject.

Editing

Hardly any post-processing.
