Behind The Lens

Location

The False Keva is an unpublished site in Canyonlands National Park, Utah

Time

I was fortunate enough to find the Keva around 1pm, had it to myself for 2 hours.

Lighting

Natural lighting, the shots got better and the sun moved west though...

Equipment

This shot was taken with a tripod mounted GoPro Hero 4.

Inspiration

just one of the most wanted places to photograph! ha ha! Always wanted to visit/ experience/ photograph the False Keva since seeing photos of it. I was able to get some awesome timelapse as well. I plan on returning with my timelapse slider and rock it!

Editing

Ran it throught a slight HDR filter

In my camera bag

GoPros, tripod, batteries, extra SD card, mounts sliders, etc. your standard hiker ,explorer gear.

Feedback

plan your visit to places like this during the week when less people are likely to show up and ruin a shot. tripods are a must, time of day is alway important and i, personally was looking for a nice cloudy day to pick up movement with some timelapse, so weather is key as well, try different angles, even ones you arent used to, youll be surprised!
