Write a commentI really like this shot for composition as well as the light coming through the dome. Did plan the light or Just got lucky?

Thank you :) in case of lighting it was planned but in case of composition it was luck! decided to spend a day at Pantheon and capture different light situation but right before this shot I was in front of the entrance when a huge group of tourists entered and I just grabbed my bag and hid between the door and the security post! looked up and had the view of columns and dome in a really unexpected perspective! :D

I guess the photo gods wanted you to have this shot, either way you were in the right place at the right time. Really you made the right decision, so don't call it luck. It was your eye that new this is the spot.

This photo was taken at Pantheon - Roma [Italia] the crowd was pushing everyone to get in and I wanted to change the lens. looked at my right and saw this small spot between the huge wooden gate of the Pantheon and the security post, got there and changed the lens, but once I looked up I saw these 2 amazing columns above my head and below the dome.Time
Pantheon was built as the home of the Ancient Roman Gods, it is magical, it is impressive, and for a photographer it has thousands of opportunities (perspectives), the most simple explanation is "a hole in the dome", but for a photographer, it means: 1. Sunlight, which changes every minute as the Sun moves 2. Stunning interior, which does not change but its detailed Roman architecture force you to choose which part you want in your frame. 3. a magnificent Dome! basically when you enter with camera, you lose track of the time.Lighting
This photo was taken on 15th of May, every year on this day the "vigili del fuoco" [Fire men] begin to drop thousands of rose petals from the rim of the oculus. Pantheon itself is a place built as home to Roman Gods, now just imagine this magical, strong, beautiful building with thousands of rose petals on the floor.Equipment

"When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence." -Ansel Adams honestly I never needed an inspiration, for me photography is just a way to show how I see the world.Editing
for interior shots I usually stick to Camera RAW, for this picture I didn't need to do much; flash took care of the columns and the only thing I did was making the rest of the picture a little darker to clarify the edges of the columns. In my camera bag
For me photography is hours of walking in or out of the city and taking hundreds of pictures, that is why first thing I do before packing my bag is planning my day, places, bus numbers, metro lines, I save everything on the map app on my phone; then the first things I pack are my primary camera [Nikon D7100], my 3 lenses [Nikon 18-105, Nikon 50mm, and Nikon 55-300], Lots of memory cards and batteries, a set of Full-ND Filters, and a small lens cleaning pack. Then the next factor for me is how long I am planning to stay in the city, if I am going to stay out until sunset then I add Graduated Red, and a set of Graduated-ND Filters (or if I am going for landscape), and if I am going to stay until dark then I add my [YongNuo YN-560 III] flash (or if I am going for photography inside buildings) Next thing is "where I am going?" for example in a city like Rome, you cannot go out without a back up camera, for this I take my old camera [Nikon D5000]; and a second Flash [YongNuo YN-560 II]. and if I am going to pass a church, I take a LED light [YongNuo YN300-II], in case the church has problem with flash, I put the LED light on my camera instead. and no matter what, I always have 4 other things in my bag: a real notebook, a pen, a book (or a comic), and my Asus Transformer Book. But! that is only what's "in" my bag! outside the bag I usually have my [Manfrotto MMXPro A3 Monopod]. and of course the only bag able to carry all these is [Lowepro ProTactic 450]Feedback
when I started photography I used to look in front of me, but now every 6-7 steps I go, I look up! then I turn around and look back! most people only look at what's in front of them.
