Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken at Queens Park in Crewe, Cheshire, England just after a lottery funded revamp of the park and bridge's over the park lake.

Time

I went for a walk around the park at around lunch time. 1pm in the afternoon. The park is full of all kinds of winged wildlife. Always a great place for any keen photographer. We used to have rabbits in the park as well. Kept in massive cages. These have since been relocated elsewhere but still plenty of fish and birds, as well as squirrels.

Lighting

This photograph was taken with only the sun as natural lighting.

Equipment

The camera I used for this photograph was a nikon p610 bridge camera. I used this particular camera for the excellent zoom range on it. Anything within my local park is always a filled frame away with excellent colour reproduction and clarity given the right lighting.

Inspiration

Birds have always been a keen photographic hobby of mine. These 2 seagulls looked as though they were caught mid conversation like 2 neighbours having a chinwag over the garden fence. Almost like a warm loving embrace. The colours are amazing and the detail was even better.

Editing

This photograph was taken straight out of camera with a slight post edit crop to fill the frame.

In my camera bag

I usually carry around my bridge camera, nikon p610 and my nikon d5300 with 3 different lenses, flash and long exposure triggers.

Always carry a camera with you. You just never know when that perfect photograph will arise.
