Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a "studio" from my Girlfriend. She had a space under the roof, it was in winter without a heater and it was very cold! But that doesn't matter - we had so much fun with our animals and we tried some different shots with dogs and cats. I'm an animalphotographer and I loved her animals - they were very confidential to her.

Time

It was late in den evening. But it doesn't matter because of a professional lightning system.

Lighting

I can't remember the settings, we worked with two flash heads, with softbox

Equipment

This was a shot on a Nikon D700, with an 24-120 mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. (Meanwhile a changed to Canon)

Inspiration

I love animals and I love to work with them. It's so funny! And I love to capture memories!

Editing

I had to bright the white sheet and I croped a little - that was it :)

In my camera bag

The first thing I always pack is my Canon 70-200/2.8L IS USM II. It is my standard lens for petphotography. When I work in the studio, I often use my Canon 24-70/2.8 L. I like a big aperture :)

Feedback

As I said, I like to capture moments with animals. When I lost one of my dogs in January 2014, I realized how important it is, to take photos from your best friend! They can bring you memories of many beautiful moments! So since that day I love my job more than ever.
