Amazing photograph. The Aurora Borealis is on my bucket list as I have caught the aurora the "bug". Shot my first Aurora Australis last year and have now several nice photographs to my name. As an elderly photography novice, I am thrilled whenever somebody says there's a glow to the South. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photograph with us all.

Location
This pictures was created at the Haukland Beach at the Lofoten, Norway.Time
I was photography to hole night long. The 'aurora borealis' was so strong and amazing, that i coudn't stopp - and finally i desiced to go in front of my lens for some 'portraits'. - And that's what came outLighting
The 'aurora borealis' did the most work. To create a picture like this you just need to put up the iso a little bit and a long shutterspeed- time. ps: Better you put the camera on a tripodEquipment

Guess what? I mean, look at this amazing natural phenomen and you gonna know the answer.Editing
So yeah, of corse - like the most photographers, I'm also editing my pictures afterwards. But first of all - I'm also using a C-Log camera setting, what gives a matt effect to the censor in the camera - so you have much more details (high dynamic range) in your photos. Then I added on of my presets, what brings out a little bit the dark parts of the pictures and put down a little bit the lights. And then I did some small adjustments in the color settings. That's it. If you wanna know more about my workflow just DM me on Instagram @hisnameisflorianIn my camera bag
There is a bunch of equipment I use. Here you get a full list: https://gearstack.net/hisnameisflorianFeedback
So I'm just gonna share with you my camera settings. iso 800 f 2.8 (or as less you can go down) shutter speed 10sec. You definitely need a tripod to capture northern lights in a good quality.
