Location
Captured in Ersfjord, Northern Norway, Tromsø. The capital of The northern lightsTime
Evening, around 8.00pm, best results in completely Dark areasLighting
The biggest problem to shoot The northern lights at this time this desember wasnt to find The northern lights, IT was to find a spot without electric lights. When i did find this spot, The northern light do The rest of The job easy for meEquipment
This photo tells us that expensive equipment is not nessesary under these good conditions. The Aurora gives u so much light that a high iso is not a must have. So i shot with a Nikon d5300, a cheap Tamron ultrawide 10-24 f3.5 of course you need a steady tripod.Inspiration
The northern lights was all over The sky in a long period. So i was hunting The lights, and found this Nice spot.Editing
Adjusted The whitebalance a bit and made IT a big brighter. Its a Dark shot but i like IT better with more lightIn my camera bag
My Nikon d5300. Ultrawide Angle is a must for Landscape, and a 18-140mm for everything else. A tripod and some nd filtersFeedback
Find a Nice spot without to much fake lights. Put The camera on a tripod and shot The picture. 10-30 sec. And The lights do The rest of The job
