At home, outside on the patio.Time
Probably mid-morning.Lighting
As I recall, the plant is a potted, split-leaf philodendron, which I kept in a mostly shaded area outside and protected from the elements. Despite all my efforts, the plant did not survive winter. Lighting was natural shade.Equipment
This was taken with the Nokia Lumia 1020 cell phone camera, I believe. I say "I believe" because the camera identification tag is omitted from my ViewBug upload (both for this, and the uncropped version elsewhere in my Gallery.) New leaves on a split leaf philodendron present a wonderful study in form, light, and shadow.Editing
Post processing may have included darkening shadows a bit. Cropped slightly from the original which is elsewhere in my ViewBug photo gallery. In my camera bag
Panasonic Lumix GX8, Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmar 100-400mm F4.0-6.3 ASPH Power OIS Lens; Panasonic Lumix GX Vario Lens, 35-100mm, F2.8 ASPH, Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-150. I still carry the cell phone, but truthfully, after the first year (2013) the camera is not what it used to be! Looking into the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.Feedback
Look around for color, design, light, and shadow in even the most ordinary things... always challenge yourself!
