A beautiful shot. Excellent capture of light. However, it would have been better if the lower portion could be taken in full without the obstruction. I think so.

Behind The Lens

Location

The Photo was taken in Cattle fair of Pushkar, Rajasthan,India.

Time

It was rather cold in the morning, I woke early in the morning and went out to take photos in the golden light, especially for camel herd with camel owner. This was taken in October 29, 2014 at about 7.30am.

Lighting

I tried here to take different kind of photo in Back light situation. it was little difficult to take in dusty atmosphere of desert area.

Equipment

Canon eos 6D, Canon 70-300mm ef is usm, hand held, no tripod, no flash.

Inspiration

No any inspiration, only I was trying to take photos in good frame. This Pushkar cattle fair is very famous for camels and Rajasthani colorful culture. Camels are lifeline of the dry land ecosystem and considered a fairly constant resource for income generation among the rural population of the Rajasthan, especially the Raika community people in Rajasthan who mostly rear camels. They take pride in fact that for them camel breeding is not just business but their cultural heritage.

Editing

I used Photoshop CS3, Cropping, Brightness, Contrast, Color adjustment, Sharpening, noise filter for post processing.

In my camera bag

My Canon 6D, Canon 24-105mm, Canon 50D, Canon 70-300mm is usm, Canon 18-135mm, Canon 50mm 1.8 always in my bag.

Feedback

There in Pushkar, we can see colorful culture of rajasthani people in fair and there is opportunity for Street photography in pushkar town also. For Ariel view of pushkar and Camel fair, visit Savitri temple on hill. Be aware of monkeys there.
