Location
We were on holiday in Myanmar and had arrived in Bagan. To my delight the guide we had there was an enthusiastic photographer who sold some of his pictures in his restaurant. He gave me some great photographic opportunities while we were there.Time
Our guide took us to one of his favourite places to see and photograph the sunset.Lighting
The changing light gave me a variety of lighting conditions.Equipment
I used a Nikon D7100 with the 18-200 Nikon lens that I use when travelling.Inspiration
Such a beautiful scene is all the inspiration needed.Editing
I shoot in raw so used Camera Raw to convert to jpeg so I made some small changes there, clarity, white balance, highlights and shadows then cropped to make more of a letterbox shape. In my camera bag
For travelling I take my Nikon D7100 with a Nikon 18-200 lens and often use a polarising filter, plus a small Sony DSC-HX20V for trekking or if I want to travel light. I did take my new Sigma 150-600 lens when we went to Costa Rica recently, hand held as I don't usually take a tripod on holiday, which was worth the effort.Feedback
Watching the sun go down from one of the temples in Bagan is very popular and certainly worth experiencing whether you are a photographer on not. As the light is difficult to control and keeps changing it is a good idea to shoot in raw and take plenty of shots.
