Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at my friend's house in Maribel Wisconsin. I am currently in the Photography program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College so i take my camera with me everywhere so i can practice. My friend has such a lovely garden that i just can't resist taking photos every time i go to her house.

Time

The day this photo was taken I had to work. I got off work at 12:00pm and went to my friend's house to have a girl's day. We lounged in her pool drinking wine coolers and cooked out. I guess it was around 5:30pm when we stated the grill. While i was waiting for the coals to get hot I pulled out my camera and started taking photos of her garden.

Lighting

I waited until late afternoon so i could get some nice lighting. i like to use natural lighting as much as possible. I was fortunate to have such a beautiful day to take photos.

Equipment

This was shot with a Nikon D3200 camera with a 18-55mm lens.

Inspiration

I am experimenting with the different types of photography but i have noticed that I love nature and landscape best. Everywhere I look I see beauty and I don't have to stage it.

Editing

I did a little editing in raw. I took the shadows down and add some vignetting.

In my camera bag

I always carry my 18-55mm, 70-200mm and my 60mm Macro lenses with me in my bag. I also carry my flash. tripod and reflectors jin case I need them.

Feedback

I really don't know what advice I can give except for take lots of pictures, experiment and just have fun.
