Location
I took this photo in Hawaii while on a photo tour with Blue Hawaii photo tours.Time
It was taken after sunset, it was very dark out so this was one of my final shots.Lighting
All the light in the photo is from the long exposure, it was almost pitch black outside.Equipment
I used my Nikon D7000 with my 10-24mm wide angle lens to capture the shot. I also used a tripod and a remote for the shutter.Inspiration
All the connections in the stream really caught my attention. I felt like I had to showcase them with movement; which is why I used a long exposure.Editing
I did a bit of edit in Lightroom but not much, this is probably one of my least edited photos from Hawaii. In my camera bag
First thing is always my Nikon D7000 along with my 10-24mm wide angle and my nikkor 50mm 1.4D portrait lens. I also have some different filters such as the variable neutral density filter which I love as well as some remotes and external flashes. I also carry my GoPro with me in case I see any cool video opportunities.Feedback
It's all about framing here. I got everything I wanted in the shot with my wide angle lens. It's important not to cut out anything worthwhile, but instead stepping back and looking at the big picture.
