Living near the river offers me unlimited (and sometimes terrifying) photographic opportunities. I captured this shot of the Wisconsin River as it was cresting (78,000 cubit feet of water per second) near the Grand Avenue Bridge on 25 Sept 2010. Every time I look at this shot, I'm instantly taken back to that wild afternoon and can still feel and hear the thundering of the water. Shortly after I took this photo, I submitted it to Weatherunderground, where it was featured in their Worldview section, a weekly pictorial review of weather around the globe!
