Location
The photo was taken near kapsi village.Time
This is one of my favorite moment. I have traveled 90km from hometown to capture this pic. I reached the location in the evening about 5pm. It was already getting dark.Lighting
There were no one near the lake when I reached there. I had to walked down to lake from the elevated road which surrounds it from one side. Lot of wilderness from all side. As you can see its the twilight approaching and colours were amazing. I wanted to captured the different hues appeared on lake due to sunset. Light was very good for natural shot. Sun-rays reflected on water beautifully.Equipment
This was shot with Fujifilm S3300. Flash was not used. I didn't had tripod or any other stuff with me except my camera and my firm legs on not so firm lake bed.Inspiration
I wanted to capture water bodies and wild life near it. Which I did in other pic. I was trying to capture sunset at various points and I did. At that time two locale fisherman came and pushed the boat in lake while I was shooting. They were going to install nets in water, it was then I took this photograph.Editing
Not at all. When I first saw the photo on my laptop it looked amazing. Different colours, moods making a story. I decided to keep it untouched. In my camera bag
Camera and extra set of batteries for power. That's it.Feedback
I'm self taught photographer. I like to use natural light. I don't like using too much flash. If the weather is clear, no haze or dust then this kind of photo is very much possible. Sometimes in the evening lot of particles in the air, specially near water bodies. But if the sky is clear, no clouds, you can see all the hues of sunset. All you need is good camera and tripod might help. Exposure and white balance was auto. Try to use different height without tripod. As I stood on the boat to shoot at one point. Summer or early winter can get good light and clear weather.
