Location
It was shot on Koh Samui, ThailandTime
I shot it early morningLighting
I made 7 bracketed shots. Only natural lightEquipment
Nikon D200, 16mm fish-eye lens, tripod.Inspiration
I have seen a week before the boat was stranded. On my day off I went there again to see that the boat was stripped almost fully. The sun came up and made a few test shots for the angle. Then made 7 shots with a -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3 bracket.Editing
In Photomatix i brought the shots together and edit after in Photoshop. To bring up a bit of vibrance. In my camera bag
Nikon D7200, Nikon D200, Nikkor 35mm, Nikkor 60mm Micro, Nikkor 16mm fish-eye, Nikkor 18-70mm Manfrotto tripod and Weifeng tripod, polarizer, and some rubber bands for bulb shots....Feedback
Look at the light. Cover the bright sun. Try several positions, compose and take the shot. For the 0 shot no over or under exposure. Use the histogram. Make many brackets to capture all the tones.
