Lake Lanier Dam Trout Fishing. No this is not a sepia processed shot, this is straight out of camera. The sun is trying to come through the extremely thick fog. No doubt something new for me, but I kind of like the way it turned out so golden.

Thanks so much! This was something new I was trying, I'm by far not a morning person but thought if the trout fishers can get up to fish I can get up to shoot. Appreciate the comment Danny42.

Hay great capture !!! I to was up at 5:30 today but ended up getting nothing lol and its great that its not a sepia shot it looks like one but much more satisfying when you get this result fom your own shot out of the camera way to go.this is one of those story telling pictures.

It does kind of tell a story, no doubt way outside the box for me, I had never shot in fox this thick and on the water before. It was super cool when they sun came out and turned everything this wild goldish tone. Thanks so much!

You're going to laugh, it was like 7:30am when we got there and this was taken around 8:30 or 9:00. Left the house around 6:45am. THAT'S EARLY FOR ME! The sun doesn't get up over the dam until kind of late and I found out the hard way that the fog doesn't completely lift until who knows when, I gave up on waiting because I had things to get done. =D

Lovely early image. There is obviously low sun burning through. The picture is framed well by the foliage and the kayak balances the highlight and tells a story.

Thanks so much David that's very kind of you. I'm trying to find new things to try and play with. Mornings is way new to me and I want to try some night shooting soon of wildlife. Just trying to get outside the box. =D

Love it! The color is perfect, the tree frames it well, the sunlight and rocks are interesting, and the boater is a fabulous subject - looking forward to a rewarding day fishing. Great shot. Best, Anne

Wow you used the work ARTISTRY when talking about one of my shots! Wow I'm blushing! As you will notice quickly I'm a realist in life and photography but I'm trying so hard to change that and be more creative. YAY! Im doing something right! Thank you so so much!

Wow! This is absolutely breath taking! I love the Colorverglasung of the image, the leaves are cristal clear and the softness of the background look standing and then the boater slightly colored, but half Silhouette, it's just undescribable. This is truly a great and powerful shot (my Auto correct almost wrote shit), very, very, very well done. Is that an early morning? Because I always found it erwartungsgemäß to get up then it's just soooooooooo early.....

Yes its in the AM and you know I'm not a morning person either makes this shot even more so out of the box for me. The sun is actually just coming up over the Dam, the fog was so thick. But it sure made for some wild scenes which were interesting. Thank you so much Aram your support means the world to me!

OMG and I know what you mean, auto correct wants to make shot shit and I try and watch for that so I dont tell someone that their shot is shit. LOL!!

the monochromatic treatment and the framing is excellent - the POV resulting in the canoe at just the right angle is well designed

There is actually no treatment applied. This is pretty much straight out of camera and looks just like it did that early morning. I'm not a morning person but it was sure pretty cool to see that glowing sun trying hard to peer through that dense fog on the river. I think had I held out I could have even achieved a greater look. But for the most part I like this. THANKS SO MUCH DENNIS!

Believe it or not this is almost straight out of camera. It was so wild how the golden sunrise seem to turn the thick fog gold. It was like a golden world on fire which was pretty cool. Thanks so much!
