NO this is not photoshopped Smoke! It was hours of trial and error and hard work. Actually Im proud to say this shot is practically straight out of camera except for a few little boosts in colors and spot checks to ensure the black was completely black! YAY!!

Beautiful! Love hot peppers, and even though this particular pepper doesn't "smoke", the image is absolutely fantastic. Great composition.
If the pepper in the image would have been a real "smoking hot", I'd buy this image as a poster and ask you to sign on it.... Love the concept.

Nice catch, no its not one of the great smoking hot peppers. After visiting 3 stored for a "red" HOT pepper I ended up having to settle. Like you I love hot and I love spicy, its great for the sinus's. Thank you for however loving the effort, concept, and shot itself that means a lot to me. Believing me the smoke landing right wasn't easy! ugh! Again thank so much!

Awwww thanks so much Ken! Hubby had a head rush puffing and blowing my smoke for me, but we had fun. Each time it was like DANG!, OH ALMOST!, YEAH NICE!, HIGH FIVE! I was really thrilled with how well it turned out and executing it was totally fun. Not to mention, I have such a great passion for cooking with fresh foods so combining me passions is even more fun! =D

Also it goes to show that a picture can be taken and done as awesome as this is without being photoshopped to death to me this is what photography is all about i know Val takes her shots and what you see she took so way to go Girl.
