Love this photo makes me think about gender and that being a boy or girl doesn't or shouldn't stop you doing what you love

Location
This was taken at North Queensferry, Fife, Scotland, UK - looking South over the Forth river with the Forth Road bridge in the background.Time
This was taken just before 1:00pm - luckily the weather was its usual self here in Scotland, cloudy so no harsh sunlight to contend with.Lighting
Natural light with a single speedlight in a small light modifier as a fill light to lift the shadows and give detail in the dressEquipment
Canon 5d mk3 with my trusty 70-200mm. handheld. Canon Speedlight with pocket wizard flex trigger.Inspiration
There's quite a few Ballerina shots around, so i wanted to do my own take on it.. hence the series Ballerina Ecosse, there are more to come in this series.Editing
Lightroom basics, then into photoshop for skin retouching with a mono conversion in Alien Skin Exposure 7 not much else.In my camera bag
I tend to shoot primes more often when I'm doing my own shoots, however I wanted the compression that the 70-200 gives me.. so the bag was over full with primes and the zoom, along with a canon 6d as back up body, a pair of speed lights and pocket wizard tiggers..Feedback
This shot was more down to the model, doing this move, pretty hard to do, en pointe.. and me capturing it.. I think in hind sight i could have composed it better with the bridge tower being further along. however it was a difficult move to capture and getting the one shot that was good, with the slight lift of the dress by the wind makes it all work..
