Quarter of a mile out on the mudflats along a causeway stands Grain Tower in Kent. Built on 1855 to defend the River Medway together with Garrison Point opposite at Sheerness it resembled as misshapen Martello Tower. Added to in WWI and with observation tower and acompdation block added in WWII it now stands derelict.
