Location
This photo was taken in Linton, Cambridgeshire, UK. Me and my sister were on our way to have lunch when we heard this odd sound from the ground.Time
I took it around 4-5 PM. I remember because we were going to have a late lunch, which got even later because of this little guy + 2 ducks.Lighting
Not really, it was a sunny day and so I didn't need to use high ISO, which is great.Equipment
Only my Canon 550D with the lens that comes with it, EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS.Inspiration
Taking away from it's cuteness, this was right when I'd moved to the UK so the need to photography anything and everything, was strong!Editing
Yeah believe it or not, but it wasn't actually black and white, I changed that after ;) I also increased the contrast a bit + structure and light to bring out it's details. In my camera bag
Well nowadays I use a bit more, having learnt new methods. But 9 out of 10 times what's stuffed in my bag is my camera (760D), it's 18-300mm lens, my tripod and a couple of filters. Oh and don't forget about the cleaning stuff, that's crucial!Feedback
Well just be in the moment. Me being a music-lover (even working at Spotify) never uses headphones when out and about with my camera. It's the sound of animals that usually captures my attention and if I were to listen to some high volumed music, I would have missed this little dog's squeaking, the water vole's chewing or the bleating of a baby lamp stuck in a hole. This though was my sister's golden act, had she not hiked without her headphones on, she wouldn't have heard this little animal calling for help. So not only will this help you get great photos, it might even save lives!
